Reuilly: Gerard Cordier Blanc 2018
Local aficionados aver that oysters are the finest food match although Reuilly wine makes for a bracing aperitif in its own right. It also goes well with goat's cheese and asparagus.

Gérard Cordier fashions a wonderfully unadulterated Sauvignon, a wine worthy of wider recognition. It is produced with a view to domestic consumption more than any commercial considerations however. Volumes are invariably extremely low but the quality is always amongst the very best of the region. Not to be overlooked is Gérard’s sophisticated, bone-dry Reuilly rosé, made from pure Pinot Gris, which is seldom found on the export market. Among the longest-serving and most reliable suppliers to Yapp Brothers, the Cordier family produces traditional wines that have, thankfully, changed little over 4 decades.View more wines from this producer...
