Producer

Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt

A 650 year-old, family-run estate based in Trier in the Mosel, with prime vine-holdings in the Mosel, Saar and Ruwer valleys. The estate farms 46 hectares in total, 12 hectares of which are scattered among the extraordinary but challenging slopes of the Mosel. Skillfully managed from 1983 until her sad passing in 2016 by the quality-focused owner Annegret Reh-Gartner (herself married to a two-star Michelin chef, Gerhard Gartner), this is one of the leading wineries in Germany and accordingly it is a member of the prestigious VDP association.

Mosel: Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt Josephshöfer Trocken GG Riesling - Yapp Brothers One Minute Review

Tom Ashworth reviews the Josephshöfer GG 'Trocken' (dry) Riesling from Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt - a terrific value German wine from a 650 year old estate, grown in the heart of the Mosel valley. This Riesling will age very well, and partner well with poultry, fish or rich sauces.
