Tasting Notes
An excellent red Côtes du Luberon wine that is blended from Syrah and Grenache with the welcome addition of some old-vine Carignan. It is a great gastronomic wine – perfect with a roast leg of lamb, studded with garlic and rosemary.

Château la Canorgue (Jean-Pierre & Nathalie Margan)

Jean-Pierre Margan and his wife Martine began producing wine at her parents’ ancestral estate, Château de la Canorgue, in the craggy Provençal hills around Bonnieux in 1978. Over the following 20 years, they painstakingly renovated the house and created an inspirational modern winery making red, white and rosé wines that have drawn international acclaim. They now farm 35 hectares organically and the wines are classified under the sizeable, and variable, Rhône satellite appellation of Côtes du Luberon. The Margans are widely recognized as being amongst the best of the appellation and one of Provence’s most pioneering estates. Jean-Pierre and Martine’s daughter, Nathalie, has now joined the family business who is an enthusiastic ambassador for the domaine.
