Tasting Notes

Yves Cheron has 70 hectares of his own vines spanning Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Beaumes de Venise which he bottles as 'Grand Montmirail'. Although Beaumes de Venise was awarded AOC status for its sweet Muscat (vin doux natural) in 1943, the red of the appellation, which was elevated to Côtes du Rhône Villages level in 1978, had to wait until 2005 for this honour.
